Hooray for it being so close to summer! For all of my non-school based SLPs, we might start to see a decrease in our caseload or possibly even an increase servicing the littles that need continued services outside of school! I’ve put together 4 weeks’ worth of lesson plans to help you out this month. See below for all of the exciting plans, some of which can be used year-round!
These speech therapy materials and activities cover a variety of goals, including both language and articulation. Each week includes a workbook, articulation worksheets, and language worksheets. The grade levels for these speech therapy materials are for preschoolers all the way up to 6th graders!
Each workbook has an associated book companion that will allow you to have the child listen to or read a story and then complete some activities afterwards. These activities can be anything from WH- questions, a writing activity, sequencing activity, or articulation activity. The workbook also includes other various activities and worksheets to cover many different language and articulation goals.
If you decide on getting the entire bundle for the week, you will also get articulation and language worksheets. These worksheets have similar layouts which means you can use them for mixed groups without anyone feeling left out for having a different type of worksheet.
Also, I’ve created some Summer Articulation Homework pages that your kids can take home with them to have 5 days of practice on over the summer.

The speech therapy lesson plans for June are based on the following each week:
- Farms
- Beaches
- Carnivals & Amusement Parks
- Dinosaurs
Farms
This lesson plan on farms has vocabulary cards included that can be used to target many goals. The other goals it targets include following directions, plurals, and articulation. You can see a list of all the goals targeted here.
The book companion activities included with this weeks’ plan is based around On the Farm.
A separate activity to include this week is this portable sticker farm. This can be used with following directions, spatial concepts, and more!
Beaches
This lesson plan on beaches is perfect for a summer theme since many of our kids travel to one over the summer. The goals that are targeted in this plan include spatial sequencing, colors, comparing & contrasting, and more! You can check out the rest of the goals targeted for this week here.
The book companion activities included with this weeks’ plan is based around Day at the Beach.
It would be fun to create a sensory bin with sand, shells, and ocean animals to target vocabulary and many other goals too. Below are some paid links if you need ideas on what to put in the sensory bin:
Carnivals & Amusement Parks
This lesson plan can be exciting for kids that have never been to an amusement park/carnival. The picture scene will allow the kids to see what it could be like to go to one and the book will teach kids about Ferris wheels. The goals that are targeted include temporal concepts, plurals, categories, and more! Check out the rest of the goals that are targeted in the description here.
The book companion activities included with this plan is based around Mr. Ferris and His Wheel.
Dinosaurs
This if one of my favorite lesson plans because I have so many kids that love dinosaurs and I’m sure you do too! The goals targeted with this plan include rhyming, descriptions, and multi-step directions. You can check out the rest of the goals that are targeted in the description here.
The book companion activities included with this lesson plan is based around Digging up Dinosaurs.
For added fun, you can check out your local Dollar Tree for different dinosaur figurines to use in a sensory bin. They always have plenty on hand when I go there!

These speech language materials and activities can be used multiple times and will help to change up your normal routine of playing the same games over and over again. I hope you enjoy! Have a great June!
